2024 – The year of Three Cents

Three Cents is more than just a mixer – it’s a sparkling success story born from a passion for cocktails and a talent for thinking outside the box.

A group of four bartenders from Greece with backgrounds as diverse as the brand’s product portfolio, put their heads together to elevate cocktails with premium mixers that are as much out of the ordinary as they are tried and tested classics. They drew inspiration from the olden days, where people went to pharmacies to have a refreshing sip of sparkling water from soda fountains in exchange for three cents. And thus, the brand’s signature name was born.

The brains behind the bubbly mixers knew the secret to a perfect cocktail didn’t necessarily lie only within the spirits used, but much rather in the right carbonation.

So, using their expertise in various fields, they elevated the sparkling mixers by infusing them with fine, long-lasting bubbles, that guarantee a refreshingly fizzy cocktail experience from the first to the very last sip.

Three Cents has been part of CCHBC Switzerland’s 24/7 portfolio since 2023. Our goal is to provide a fitting beverage for every taste and situation. With Three Cents, we offer a large range of flavors that can be used for various occasions, so we’ve got our costumers covered throughout the day and long into the night.

In Switzerland, we feel lucky to supply more than 200 Outlets across the whole country with our Three Cents products. Out of all the flavors in the Three Cents profile, the Pink Grapefruit Soda is clearly the star of the show. That said, bartenders and other customers also hold different Three Cents products, such as Tonic Water, Ginger Beer and Mandarin-Bergamot in high regard for their mixology needs.

This year truly has been – and continues to be – the year of Three Cents. With many different activations and events, CCHBC Switzerland has put the spotlight on Three Cents, its products and our ambassadors in Switzerland.

The year was kicked off to a great start with the Three Cents Cup in Zermatt, where mixologists and bartenders went head-to-head in the competition for the best Three Cents cocktail. Another bartending competition was held later on, in July.

During summer, we were able to invite a very special guest to Zurich, George Bagos, co-founder of Three Cents, who led an impressive masterclass, highlighting everything that makes the brand so special – the unique carbonation that makes for premium cocktails and the variety of flavors within the brand portfolio. The masterclass participants, including CCHBC Switzerland’s GM, Jürg Burkhalter, were able to gather first-hand, one-of-a-kind knowledge from the mixology expert. The star of the show – alongside George, of course – was the famous Paloma, crafted with our showstopper, the Three Cents Pink Grapefruit Soda.

To keep the summer spirit alive throughout the fall, we had a series of special events lined up for our employees to have a go at crafting their own Three Cents Cocktails, as true mixologists.

Not only did this enable them to freshen up or develop their bartending skills, but it also allowed them to get even more familiar with the Three Cents brand.

And this is only the beginning!
