The DJSI is the world’s most established benchmark for corporate sustainability. The fact that CCHBC has reclaimed top spot in the index is a testament to the great efforts the company has made on a social, ecological, and economic level.

A responsible approach to people and the environment is part of the corporate culture at CCHBC. Despite COVID-19 pandemic, the commitment to this cause is greater than ever before, as CEO Zoran Bogdanovic explains:

It is a commitment that is integral to our future growth and one that will never change. Staying humble in the face of the challenges and knowing that we have a long journey ahead will be two critical elements for our continued success.

Important initiatives at CCHBC Switzerland

This leading position in the DJSI is also down to a range of pioneering sustainability initiatives of CCHBC Switzerland. In 2019, several flagship projects were launched, including the expansion of  Switzerland’s largest green fleet and the switch to 100% recycled PET for VALSER PET bottles.

CCHBC Switzerland continued its sustainability drive in 2020, initiating a number of large-scale, additional measures. Per example, the company reduced the weight of the 450-millilitre PET bottles for Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and other drinks from 22.7 grams to 19.5 grams. This made the bottles among the lightest in the world. At the same time, the proportion of recycled PET used in the 450-millilitre bottles was increased to 55%.
