Jürg Burkhalter appointed new General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland

Jürg Burkhalter will be taking over as General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland on 1 June 2023. In this role, he will be responsible for the leading beverage manufacturer’s Swiss market.

Jürg Burkhalter (52) has many years of experience working for Coca-Cola. In 2005, the Swiss native started his career as a Business Development Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland and held various commercial roles in the company before taking on the position of Commercial Director Switzerland. In 2016, he was named Country Sales Manager for Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. For the past five years, he has been the General Manager responsible for the Bulgarian market. Jürg Burkhalter holds a Master’s degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and has completed a management course at IMD.

Thomas Krennbauer, the previous General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland, has decided to pursue other career opportunities away from Coca-Cola. During the pandemic, he successfully managed the business and the Swiss organisation while at the same time restructuring it in order to meet the future challenges facing the Swiss market effectively. Naya Kalogeraki, Group COO of Coca-Cola HBC, thanks Thomas Krennbauer for all his hard work: “Under Thomas’ leadership, the Swiss team was able to successfully overcome the recent turbulence and successfully grow the business in Switzerland”.
