What makes the photovoltaic systems on the roof of our bottling plant in Vals so special?

The photovoltaic systems on the roof of our production plant in Vals are partially installed vertically and are therefore more adaptable to the challenging weather conditions at this altitude.

Installing the modules at an angle of 90 degrees prevents snow from accumulating on them. This not only enables more efficient utilisation of solar energy, but also reduces soiling of the modules. In addition, the reflection of the snow (albedo) is optimally utilised. This system makes it possible to ensure continuous power generation even in wintry conditions.

The video provides a unique insight into the photovoltaic systems on the roof of our production building in Vals. The solar power produced there corresponds to the energy requirements of around 64 households. In this way, we are contributing to the municipality's electricity grid and preserving the village's protected heritage.
