For the eighth time, VALSER is being awarded with a label by Swiss Climate. This year, VALSER receives its first “GOLD CERTIFICATE”. Swiss Climate certifies companies that align their climate policy and climate targets with internationally recognised standards and implement them with effective climate protection projects. The greenhouse gas emissions are calculated and reduced accordingly, using suitable measures to ensure climate-neutral operation. The non-reducible emissions are compensated with CO2 certificates of a “Gold Standard” climate project. Swiss Climate has developed a unique model for the CO₂ management according to ISO 14064-1 and Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Compliance with certification guidelines is evaluated by the independent audit company SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA.
Within Coca-Cola HBC, the business unit Switzerland is a pioneer. On the way to NetZeroby2040, CCHBC Group commitment to achieve net zero emissions across our entire value chain by 2040, important measures have already been introduced and significant CO2 reductions have been achieved in collaboration with Swiss Climate.
«To prove our commitment to a sustainable climate policy, I was, once again, able to count on close collaboration with the entire team. Together, we collected all the necessary data, analysed it thoroughly and subsequently produced a well-founded report,» says Monica Lehmann, Environment Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland.
«We are extremely happy and honored that VALSER has been certified with the «GOLD CERTIFICATE» label. This highlights, once more, our commitment towards sustainable corporate management,» says Patrick Wittweiler, Operational Sustainability & QSE Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Switzerland.
Patrick Wittweiler and Monica Lehmann accepted the certificate on behalf of the entire team during the festive award ceremony as part of the Soirée Climatique organized by Swiss Climate on October 28th, 2024. We warmly congratulate the whole team!
