Coca-Cola HBC in the Top 10 in EcoAct Sustainability Reporting Performance ranking

The annual EcoAct Sustainability Reporting Performance ranking revealed Coca-Cola HBC to be one of the top 10 most sustainable corporations in the world – not least due to their exemplary production facility in Switzerland. This fantastic accolade is the result of years of commitment and our ambitious sustainability agenda.

The study evaluates the contribution to climate protection of companies in the main indices (CAC 40, DOW 30, FTSE 100, IBEX 35). This includes an analysis of their transparency, strategy, CO₂ reduction and innovation.

Coca-Cola HBC is ranked in the Top 10 globally. In the FTSE 100, our company is in fourth place.

This is not the first time that Coca-Cola HBC has been recognised for its achievements. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index named the company as Europe’s most sustainable beverage manufacturer. These achievements are down to our employees’ exceptional dedication and show that our sustainability agenda is on the right path.

Leading the way in climate protection in Switzerland

In Switzerland, Coca-Cola HBC is working continuously to reduce the amount of resources and energy used in its drinks production. Regarding Energy and Climate, the company uses renewable energy sources and innovative technologies to help continuously reduce the ecological impact of their business activities.

One example is VALSER – using Climeworks’ pioneering technology to be the first, and so far only, beverages company in the world to extract CO₂ from the air. VALSER was also the first mineral water in Switzerland to be awarded “climate-neutral" status by Swiss Climate.
