Our teams were closely involved as hands-on support across several sports, including swimming, football, boccia, athletics and cycling. In addition, they supported the medal ceremonies, catering operations and the Coca-Cola activation stand, contributing with passion, enthusiasm and strong team spirit to the success of the event.
For many of our volunteers, this was far more than just a volunteering assignment. The joy of the athletes, the mutual support, and the positive atmosphere both on and off the sports fields made these four days a truly unforgettable experience.
Volunteering at the Special Olympics boccia competitions was an incredibly enriching experience for me. The athletes, especially the blind participants, impressed me deeply with their determination, team spirit and remarkable precision. I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience.
