Helping those in greatest need
The funds will go toward the individual financial assistance from the Swiss Red Cross to support people who are in need due to COVID-19. People can receive fast, uncomplicated temporary assistance of up to 1,000 Swiss francs. The Swiss Red Cross pays bills for expenses that have either been incurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic or can no longer be paid due to restrictions on daily life. These include things like buying a computer for children who have to attend classes from home, gift certificates for groceries, and medical costs.
Markus Mader, director of the Swiss Red Cross, says: “Our sincere thanks go out to Coca‑Cola for supporting our COVID-19 aid measures. Especially now, in a situation that is tough for all of us, this is an important message of solidarity – solidarity with those in need.”
The Swiss Red Cross has set up an aid fund with the motto #füreinander (“for each other”) to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible.
